双重否定（double negation)指的是一个词组或分句用了两个否定词或一个否定词和一个带有否定词缀的词项。但整个句子表示的还是肯定的意义。
1.否定词+否定形容词
No way is impossible to courage.勇士面前无险路。
Nothing is unnecessary.没有什么是不必要的。
He is not indifferent to political questions. 他并非对政治问题不感兴趣。
This is not impossible. 这不是不可能。
She is not unattractive.她很有魅力。
2.否定词+without
No smoke without fire.无火不起烟；无风不起浪。
They never meet without quarreling.他们每次见面必吵架。
You cannot make egg rolls without breaking eggs.
有失才有得。
I cannot/never see the film without being moved to tears.
我每一次看这电影都是被感动到泪流满面。
A man can never have too many ties.
男人有多少根领带也不嫌多。
A woman can't have too many hats.
女人有多少顶帽子也不嫌多。
The importance of adequate preparation cannot be overemphasized. 做好充足准备的重要性怎么强调也不过分。
Hardly a week goes by without a new reason to be gloomy about the dollar.
人们几乎每一周都能找到看衰美元的新理由。
3.否定词+否定动词或短语
She can’t escape me forever.
我永远忘不了她。
Nobody disagrees.没人不同意。
Nobody doesn’t know her.
没有人不认识她。
In spite of the increased debts，few fail to repay.
尽管借债越来越多，但很少有人不能偿还欠款。
The songs never fail to make the children smile.
这些歌曲一向都能使孩子们微笑。
Time is not unlimited，时间不是无限的。
I will never be unmoved whenever I see the film.
我每一次看这电影都是被感动到泪流满面。
4.二个否定词
Not all imperatives have no subject. 并不是所有的祈使句都没有主语。
No one has never experienced such temptation. 没有人从未经历过这样的诱惑。
We don’t need no education.
我们不需要该死的教育。
I don’t regret not going to my high-school reunion.
我毫不后悔没去参加高中同学聚会。
I can’t get no satisfaction.
我无法满足。
I will not NOT be rich！
我！绝！不！会！受！穷！
They had not ,in lefr and in death, been married for over two hundred and fifty years for nothing.
他们的婚姻在阴阳二界维系了250年一定是有原因的。
双重否定句是规范的、符合语法的英语句子。双重否定句是一种委婉的强调，表示肯定意义。但在结构上采用的是否定形式，因此反意问句通常用肯定问句。
